BOUSSIAS SILVER AWARD
in ALUMINIUM IN ARCHITECTURE AWARDS
for the IALONET interior systems used.

PAPASTRATOS

Description

The redesign of the company’s administration building resulted in higher functionality and a fully renewed image, designed and aligned with modern workspace concepts. Thanks to the renovation of the office spaces, with a total area of around 7000m2, allowed for additional workstations, while at the same time air conditioning and lighting saw a significant overall improvement.

The architectural concept is based on decreasing the “dark center” of the workspace and enhancing the outlook of the common-used areas, by emphasizing interaction with the external areas, the public spaces, nodding to the notion of Greek “Platea”, meaning square, gathering area.

The center of the building opens and expands to accommodate meeting rooms, via an intensively diagonal placement, further elevating the transparency concept.

The project has been honored with the following awards:

  • BOUSSIAS GOLD AWARD, for the redesign of the Papastratos Administration Building’s working spaces,
  • BOUSSIAS BRONZE AWARD, for the reconstruction/renovation of the same building,
  • BOUSSIAS SILVER AWARD in ALUMINIUM IN ARCHITECTURE AWARDS, for the IALONET interior systems used.
